    Stepping down and new ride

Just wanted to say that I was stepping down as mod of the Mazdaspeed6 /6 and the Canada sub-forums. Have way too little time to do the job the justice that it deserves. Not to mention that my lease is up on the MS6. Since they don't have a new MS6 in the mix I am moving on to something else...

Finally got the motor mount done

Took the car in last week for the motor mount TSB. Had it done in a few hours, along with oil change and some wheel maintenance. Night and day difference with respect to engine bay noise and driveability at speed. The car does not "clunk" anymore in the front and it just seems more sorted out...

    I Passed!

Mazda peeps I now stand before you (OK, I'm not standing, but rather sitting at my laptop) a new man. Mere hours ago I was nothing more than a lowly Orthopaedic fellow awaiting the results of his comprehensive exam in Orthopaedics. Now, however, I stand (yeah, yeah, sit before you) before you...

I think these look better on the MS3 than they do on the MS6

Well here is the flipside of my MS6 to MS3 rim swap that I tried last week that can be seen at http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123670174 . I am not sure why, but I think that the MS6 rims are better suited to the MS3 than they were to the MS6. Maybe I'm just biased, but they...

    MS3 Rims on MS6 = Hawtness!

Well my wife can't have all the good stuff. Since the MS3 was sitting at the dealership still waiting for parts and they hadn't put the summer rims on yet, I decided to make a little swap when I took the MS6 in for its service today. I have always preferred the look of the MS3 rims over the MS6...

MS3 Clutch Slave Cylinder Seal Broken = POS Altima

Well my MS3 had been having issues with brake fluid levels for a week now. My wife mentioned last week that the emergency brake indicator would flutter on and off even if she didn't have the emergency brake engaged. I took it for a drive last week and verified that it wasn't simply the lever...

Parking Lot Post:1, Wife in MS3:0

Seems that MS3s are NOT able to withstand backing into columns in a parking garage after all. I know that most of you were waiting to see whether this was indeed the case. I decided to take the onus on myself and send my wife out to test the truth of this theory. My wife had left earlier...

MS3 Sighting in the 416/905 New Years Day

Just driving home from downtown T.O. today in the MS6. While cruising past the airport I noticed a MS3 heading east between the 401 and the airport. Could've sworn it was my car cause it had winters as well, but I knew that my little red baby was parked at home in the driveway. Belong to...

MS3 + All Season Floor Mats = Potential problem

Did a search for this and didn't find anything so I'll post this in the general forum. I have a MS3 for which I purchased all-season floor mats. I have had the mats in the car for 2 weeks now. The mats are installed in the correct position and do not have the regular floor mats in place above...

    GD, I'm hooked baby!

Entered my first auto-x yesterday after taking the course three weeks ago. It was awesome. Got in 7 runs on the day; 2 off-course, 4 clean runs, 1 fun run. Steady improvements through the day. Only 2-3 seconds off the leaders in my class and only 6 seconds off the overall leaders. After...

Ward's Auto says that the MS6 2.3L is OFFICIALLY Badass! I guess somebody likes our little turbo-charged 4-banger! I like the comment near the bottom about the 911 between 50-90 mph...LOL! http://wardsauto.com/reports/2006/tenbest/auto_mazda_motor_corp/ R

    Possible engine swap with.....a bike?

After reading mikeyb's post concerning the Westfield Sportscar 1.8 and after meeting several bike owners at Mosport last year with outrageous amounts of power on tap I wonder whether swapping a bike engine into a car might become a more popular trend. This is just off the top of my head so I...
