I use to put auto transmission fluid to help with the noise in my Poncho V8. But it's really not fixing the problem, just hiding it. now i just hid the problem on Kluge by taking out the exhaust. i can't hear the lifters anymore! (crazy)

um, 'cleaning the lifters' will require taking the cams out of the head. Not something i'd recomend for someone who isn't comfortible easily doing a timing belt.

If it's a ticking noise, especially when cold, I'd say it could be lifters.

Interesting. but even so, in this situation, unless the OP is after a cold-side set up, and went for the traditional hot-side install, the exterior of the block is what matters, right? Is where it bolts above the exhaust manifold the same? I know they added VICS, but i didn't think it was an...

the 1.6l engine in the non-US NB Miadas are the same as the 1.6l they put in the NA6's, right?So... get a supercharger for a NA6, and you're done.

Then you're not shopping around right. You can easily do a complete turbo set up with good parts for under 2k. including the megasquirt. That is I'm assuming you're going to do the build yourself.. if you're going to farm out labor, then yes price goes up.

Well at 42PSI, my front tires lasted 50k miles, and I only replaced because 1 had a bad puncture in it and wanted to replace them as a pair. The rear tires still have plenty of tread, and are actually wearing more on the outside than the center. 40-42PSI isn't enough to cause the tire to baloon...
