yea i meant to say rods not pistons. i was just wondering is there some major design difference between them that justifies the price or are the molnar/k1 rods sufficient for my goals.

just rods. my choice of pistons is wiseco and as long as i have a good tune i imagine pistons are more durable than rods. I pretty just much want a car that makes around 250hp reliably. edit:oh snap the thread says pistons but i totally meant to ask about rods.

just threads ive seen over the years about guys talking and saying that they are on their second or third forged motor.

i see or have seen quite a few msps with blown forged motors. id like to avoid going that route as im starting my build and im wondering is it just poor tuning causing this? oil starvation?

since we are on the topic of the oil pan, if you arent tracking the car is it enough of a safeguard to get the awr oil pan? or should one get the doc b system as well

1 head sold and the other pending. cranks blocks and msp wing are still for sale

only one head is missing cams. other than that they have everything. pms replied to.

they are in good condition. obviously need machine work for a rebuild.

up for grabs i have 2 fsde blocks, 2 heads, two cranks, and a new 2003.5 msp wing unpainted with brand new lighting. im letting the blocks, heads and cranks go for 50 a piece + shipping cause i really need the space and the msp wing for 150+ shipping.

kinda late to chime in. the car is a great dd as long as you maintain it. the only thing that has seriously gone wrong on mine has been the lsd and the head gasket. which honeslty was expected. enjoy the car and take care of it!

yep. make sure to buy one from a 2001-2003 though otherwise the crank isnt forged and i think the head is a little different. if i am not mistaken.

anyone have any tips how to get the front passanger axel back in? i cant seem to get it over the cat.

So aside from disconnecting the fuel injectors when i crank it to prime the oil through the motor is there anyhting else i should make do before i start it up?

just an update. i got it. i had to find two low profile nuts to fit onto it. i went to like 5 different hardware shops to find one them!
