    CX-9 vs. MDX

True True.... i was the exact same way.. "No way ice tires make that much of a difference". Until I went cough Curling cough (for a work Staff party; I swear), it made me think. The sweepers put on this rubber shoe that literally sticks to the ice. This is how they stay controlled. Then I...

    Oil found in catch can

I've always wanted to try something else. What would you guys recommend? Quaker Q, Pennzoil, Valvoline, Royal Purple and Castrol is the only synthetic stuff I can find here.... (could of missed 1 or 2??). Though I'm pretty biased right now to Mobil 1, cause I've always used it, sometimes I...

    Oil found in catch can

Do you guys have any data to back this up? I've always used Mobil1 with no issues, and don't want to change without some data to back it up. At the same time, if I am using, as you say, "garbage", I need a reason to stop using it.

Tip Of The Day! Clean your MAF!

Tried this out for the first time today... Temp sensor was definitely black on one side. So I sprayed the crap out of it (using maf cleaner), as well as the sensor. Stuff worked great!! In terms of the ride experience, I didn't really feel any difference, and looking at logs, it maybe ran a...

Tip Of The Day! Clean your MAF!

Maybe not spray... but consume. Slip alcohol into everything, and that should do the trick..

    "whistle"???

My ETS intercooler started whistling on me once (when it hit a certain frequency; due to engine rev). Turned out that where the IC meets the coldpipe was warped, and the flange in between acted like reid and made it whistle...

    boost air temp

BTW... a front mount will definitely make a difference. Cooler charge and more air flow. But in terms of BAT, this reading is taken from the map sensor so you could still expect to see about the same BAT pattern you have now (but slightly better). The FMIC will just cool that down much quicker...

    boost air temp

Ouch.. I feel your pain!! But yah, (depending on your mods; so I'm assuming almost stock) if your boost temps are from 115-130 you can keep your times around 14.3-14.8 (depending on launch). Over 130, I think 15 seconds will always be the result. Optimum BAT temps where you'll get low 14's...

    boost air temp

at 175 bat, you probably could have been knocking as well. After I started logging and paying attention to bat, it helped me understand how and when my car would perform a certain way. It's way more predictable now....

    boost air temp

Wow, if you run at 175 BAT, then good luck beating civics.. lol. I always log BAT and will never WOT it unless its under 115. What sucks is, all it really takes is about 10 minutes driving, and about 10 minutes of waiting doing nothing (even with car off) to have high temps. But in the summer...

    Which spark plugs to get?

+1 No point yet! Maybe the ride will feel a little smoother. Other than that, I don't think you'll notice a difference. Besides, when you do decide on further mods and it's time colder plugs will benefit, you'd probably want new ones then vs used for x amount of miles...
