    Ground Control - Strut Bearings

I have an 03 MSP, still running the stock front bar, am not very low, and am about to replace my strut bearings for the third time this summer. I talked to the guys at Ground Control, and they suggest the strut bearings are being destroyed due to too much load on them. They thought maybe I'm too...

    Canadian Nationals

Taking the MSP to Montreal this weekend for the Canadian Autoslalom Championship. I'm hoping the forecast changes, since they are calling for rain still, and I don't have any good rain tires. I'm only equipped for dry. I'm competing in DSS. My last look at the entry list showed 4 MSP's...

    Intake material: SS vs. Aluminum

Trying to get some feedback from people who "know". Why use stainless steel for an intake instead of aluminum? Wouldn't aluminum be better because it's lighter? Do people use steel because it's easy to get and easy to work with?

    JIC ? vs TEIN SS

I'm looking for coilovers for the spring, I use the car for AutoX and am pretty competitive, so I want a good setup. I figure I should be able to get either the JIC's or Tein's for around the same price ($1300US). I know some folks who race in the same series I do with Tein's on other kinds of...

    Vibrant Turbo Back

My car currently has the prototype turbo-back that Vibrant is going to be selling. I'm evaluating it for fit, noise, etc before they produce it. I did make a dynorun, and yes, there are some BIG gains. I wont post my graph yet, because this is a prototype and will have some minor changes before...

    2004 Mazdaspeed Proteg

2004 Mazdaspeed Proteg I have a contact who is associated with the plant that manufactures the Racing Beat exhaust used on the MSP. The plant was advised to gear up for another few thousand units. Don't ask me for any more information, because that's all I can say.

    American Mazdaspeed Floor Mats

Do they say "Mazdaspeed" instead of "Proteg"?? I had an incident with my floor mats, and rather than replace them with the OEM Canadian ones that say "Proteg" I'd like to get the US ones if they say "Mazdaspeed".

    Mazdaspeed in Stock Classes

Question for you who autoX your MSP's in stock classes: Have you changed your struts? If yes, what are you using now? I am thinking about changing mine, as it's also a free mod in Canada.

    SCCA rules

I'm hoping those american's running solo II's can help out a fellow canadian! Our rules will be changing for 2004. I'm not entirely sure what will be happening yet, but the rumours are something in line with the SCCA rules. How do those rules effect modifications to mazdaspeeds such as...

Why don't YOU take it to the track?

I'm asking this question to people that DO NOT participate in a "legal" form of racing (solo1/2, autoX, lapping days, whatever). Why don't you? Are you concerned about the costs? Concerned about breaking something? Don't know how to find information? Please, tell me why you don't go.

    Racing Hart 17" in Canada

Are there any Canadian owners of MP3 or MSP that might be interested in selling their 17" wheels for a REASONABLE fee? I would like to discuss if you are considering it. They would become AutoX wheels if I do buy them, so tires aren't necessary.

    How to steady the boost?

I hope my thread name isn't too misleading. I'm looking for thoughts/ideas/opinions on how to get steady boost from my MSP. It peaks around 9psi at 4000rpm, and then slowly declines to around 6.5 or 7 at redline. This is with a Joe P MBC. (It had the same pattern, just lower numbers without...

    Question: Installing A/F ratio gauge

Alright, I've read the thread by LinuxRacr where he says to use the pink wire with the blue stripe (#60 on the ECU) for installing this gauge inside the car. I pulled my MSP apart, found thiswire, and I wanted to verify that it is the correct one. There is already another wire spliced into this...
