Would you mind to share insurance company name you are with? We're with Bel-Air. I've checked TD insurance, RBC, ING, PC Insurance. All of them were giving me quotes even more. No, we're not that young ;-)

Did your insurance go up for Mazda 5 upon renewal?

Just called my insurance company and they said the increase was due the rating for Mazda 5. They couldn't say what specific factor was increased (theft or number of accidents etc.)

Did your insurance go up for Mazda 5 upon renewal?

I got renewal papers and premium for my Mazda 5 went up almost 6%. Though I'm not sure if it's related to Mazda 5 insurance rating or usual greed by insurance company.

Why there is no trip computer?

Interesting why Mazda decided not to include trip computer even to GT when Mazda 3 GS and GT have it.

here is some info on 2009 mazda 6 price and packages

I was expecting a little bit more power and mileage from the new 2.5L engine. I'll wait for a hatchback if it ever happens.

    Mazda5 real-world Mileage numbers

I have 06 5spd as well and I'm getting 19-20 mpg having 100% quite heavy city driving. Considering it's winter I don't think it's too bad. Highway mileage it great close to 30 mpg.

    2008 Lower Fuel Consumption

I think it's just a typo in the canadian specs. There is no way canadian Mazda 5 is more efficient than US version:)

    Canadian Mazda5

Did you notice that EPA numbers are better? Even for 5 MT it's 9.6 city and 7.1 hwy. As far as I remember my 2006 5 MT was rated 10.6 city and 8.0 hwy.

WRX owner looking at Mazda5 for 3rd child

Mazda 5 is a great car but I wouldn't buy it for family of 5. I would look for something else. Having kids that age quite ofter will require a lot of space for luggage.

    tore a tire

Look around. A lot Mazda 3/5 owners get rid of them as soon as they buy the car Sometime with rims. $175 for these tires are too much. You should be able to find a replacement for cheap. Stop at any reputable tire shop and ask their opinion about your damage.

    Mazda 5 Jacking Point

Just put my Michelin X-Ice tires. These OEM wheels stick to the hub pretty well. I noticed aftermarket rims with hub rings on my Protege never stick. If you put it under lifting points between two indentations marks than there is no place for jacking stand to put beside.

    Mazda 5 Jacking Point

Thanks a lot. That's what I was looking for. Based on this diagram we shouldn't use hydraulic jack on the sides but only in the center (front or rear)
