Euro vs NA Mazda 5 MPV

Yea, I completely agree. I got the inno fairing which seemed to help with noise when the rack was unloaded BUT I have to say the biggest advantage to the inno is how easy the rack is removed and that they give you covers for the hardware installed on the roof. Seeing as it's not a pain to take...

Euro vs NA Mazda 5 MPV

Yup, there is very little noise insulation in this car. The inno isn't bad at all with the fairing, but since they give you toppers for the base bracket I take the rack off when not in use anyway

2012 Mazda5 brake pad and brake rotor replacement

Brake fluid, now there is a good debate. I would say that more depends on breaking style and if there were any issues with the brakes before the job. It sounds like a good rule of thumb, but unless the fluid burnt/boiled from extreme breaking or a hung pad I can't see the fluid being bad. I...

2012 Mazda5 brake pad and brake rotor replacement

I used needle nose pliers on my mz3 rears and it SUCKED. You need to push them so hard while turning you end up bruising your palms. I'm definitely picking up the tool for the next brake job I do. I can't blame anyone for trying the pliers, the Haynes manual says it's an alternative... But...

OEM Radio & Speakers - Sound Quality

Awesome, ton of good info here. Yea I'm debating taking the 5 into the dealer to get the audio unit checked out. None of the audio is acceptable to me and I have some hq music on my iPhone so I don't get it. I'll probably try the aux in to see if there is a difference. I don't understand how...

OEM Radio & Speakers - Sound Quality

Thanks, good to know I'm not crazy. What amazes me the most is that the FM radio sounds better than playing music through the Aux/iPod USB port ...

OEM Radio & Speakers - Sound Quality

Hey all, So I'm kinda baffled here. Is the audio on the stock '14 mz5s really that bad? I have very little bass (Bass +6), low volume (ACL +7), and everything sounds very "tinny". Like retro-radio sound quality. I'm by no means an audio snob, but comparing this to my '09 mz3i the sound...

Oem vs rola need in two weeks + box

You got a darn good deal on the oem one, so don't be down about it. The oem one is an aero design right? You may be ok... Take it out for a spin at high way speeds and if you don't mind the noise you can go without. Fairings supposedly cut down on wind noise and give you some gas mileage back.

Oem vs rola need in two weeks + box

man, i missed the action. I would've said save your $$ and get an inno from autoanything while they are throwing in a free fairing and giving 22% off now (damnit, i only got 20%)... oh well

    Mystery machine screw

Well I found this little guy in the cargo area of the 5 the morning after getting tinted. I'm going to call the shop and see if they remember missing one, there is a chance they have a bin of screws and just swapped it out and kept moving. I didn't peel back much trim, but couldn't find it's...

    Fog Lights

There is a very, very high likelihood that the wiring to the fogs is there, but you don't have the control stick that has the switch to turn them on, so you would need to buy that (link). You absolutely want to drop the bumper, install will be a million times easier than trying to work in those...
