    Aftermarket exhaust for the CX-5?

But the CX-5 isn't an aggressive type of vehicle. Perhaps you should have bought a BMW or an Audi.

    Aftermarket exhaust for the CX-5?

Good grief, either you've been on the road 24/7 or Mazda exhausts are rubbish. How come you already need to replace your exhaust system?

    Folding Mirrors

When you do get your CX-5 spend some time sitting in the car with the handbook. There are quite a lot of electronic gadgetry to familiarise yourself with. The handbook is, in my opinion, a bit confusing in describing some of the controls. The wiper stalk and the light stalk are a good example...

    Oil Rising continued

An interesting letter in the UK "Diesel Car" magazine concerned a business man who had a small fleet with Mazda 2.2 diesels . He claims that the cars are driven by all of the companies drivers, none of the cars are driven by just one driver. All of these particular vehicles have now covered just...

    Oil Rising continued

I've heard a rumour recently here in the UK that the dramatic oil rise problem reported by some CX-5 diesel owners could possibly be something to do with a fault in a temperature sensor that has something to do with the DPF. This is causing the DPF regen. to be initiated far too frequently. Has...

instrumental lights always on when headlights are not in use

There seems to be quite a lot of goodies left off the US and Canadian models. The entry level UK CX-5 seems to have pretty near most things as standard.

instrumental lights always on when headlights are not in use

I've Had it three months now and very pleased so far. I have been quite impressed with how agile and planted it feels on our twisty Devon roads. It has also proved to be a very comfortable motorway cruiser. The gearbox is an absolute dream and the seats are as comfortable and supportive as my...

    Irritated

There's a very irritating thing with this forum which has happened several times now. I have been logged in and in the process of replying to some point or other only to find that when I click to send my reply I am told that I must log on again. Worse still is that when I do re-log on I am taken...

instrumental lights always on when headlights are not in use

If it works like the UK/Europe model then if you turn the odometer knob clockwise several clicks it will set the dash lights to max. regardless of the headlights. But if from the max. position if you turn the knob anti-clockwise (even one click) it will set the dash lights to auto-dim. Hope this...

    Rear backup sensors

If the back-up sensors are not available in the US presumably the rearward camera is standard.

    Folding Mirrors

All UK models have power folding door mirrors. I have them on my entry level model. Refer to 3-29 in the Owners Handbook. How did you miss this?

    Radio gets hot

I think you will find that this heat is generated by the laser and quite normal, unless you mean that the CD is almost too hot to hold. I've noticed that CD's get quite warm in my home HiFi.

I'm not surprised that you chaps in the US try to disable the DRL's if you have to put up with a dimmed headlight! In the UK we have the pretty LED running lights like Audi and BMW etc. I think they look quite sharp. LED DRL Upgrade kits for older cars are all the thing here at the moment to...

Why do so many (mainly) American owners wish to disable their DRL's. It was proven in Sweden and Norway, who pioneered this idea in the 1970's, that it reduced certain kinds of accidents because unfortunatly not many drivers are blessed with the eyesight of Superman.

Does USB work with any I pod, Nano and Shuffle?

Is it your music that you're concerned about, or are you really just be-dazzled by all the technology?

    Disabling Parking Sensors

It's not an extra, it's standard across the range. If you can't hear any bleeping when you are manouvering close any obstruction to the front, rear or side of your car then they are not working. I should see your dealer about getting this fixed. The temporary silencing button that I originally...

Does USB work with any I pod, Nano and Shuffle?

Why do some of you people always look to do things the most complicated way? I assume it is some form of music or similar that you want to listen to. So why not do what I did and copy every album that you want to take with you on your travels onto a flash drive in mp3 format. This works...

    Disabling Parking Sensors

I can now answer my own question. Mazda say that it is not possible to disable the parking sensors on the CX-5 when towing, only silence them if it gets on your nerves. I was told that on some Mazda models in the past there was an override switch wired into the system when a tow-bar was fitted...
