I tried several places for my tweeters using two sided tape, and in the end I decided to put them in the kick panels. My mid-woofers are in the stock locations in the doors. I don't want to get custom fiberglass pods made just for the tweeters, so I'm planning on cutting a hole in the stock kick...

I don't think positive and negative matter with speakers, but I could be wrong. I wouldn't recommend getting 6x9's though. What's the reason you're getting them? To make the system louder overall or add more bass?

I would recommend getting some components with an external crossover that can be installed like coaxials, like these: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=5828 and then getting a 6x8 adapter. That's what I would do if I didn't already have these Type R's.

I just received the Alpine Type R 6.5" components I ordered. I thought the 6x8 adapters that came with them would have spots for the tweeters, but they don't. So now I'm faced with the dilemma of where I am going to put those tweeters. I have an 03 Protege Sedan and don't have the stock...

Add the Acura EL/CSX to that list (Acura version of the Civic). The Canadian market is much more receptive to small cars. Though I'm not sure why Toyota is still not selling Scions here.

Mine's an LX 2.0 sedan, and the button were the A/C normally is is blank/black, and doesn't push in. I'm in Canada btw but it still gets hot in the summer!
