How far past "E" do you let the needle go?

I have driven mine seventy miles with the light on. The gauge will register under the last tick mark and still be OK. Now understand that this is in MY car and yours may be slightly different. That fill up she held 15.14 gallons BTW which is waaaaaaayyyyyy too close for comfort even for me.

To answer everyones questions. First the collison was a very odd angle that there is no test for, it occured at higher than average speeds, and yes I did go to the junkyard and retrieve my "stuff" (HID, XM radio, etc) She hit me in the passenger side rear quarter panel at approximately 50MPH...

    RIP Slvrsleeper

I will try to get some pics of the remains up after I retrieve my stuff from her on Moday afternoon. You may not like what you see though, the rear end did well, but the drivers seat did not. The seat twisted on its base about twenty degrees to the left and the back rest failed, also the...

    RIP Slvrsleeper

Got into a bad accident this afternoon on my way home in the rain. Spun out on bald rear tires and went into oncoming traffic backwards. The 5 is destroyed and my neck is sprained other than that everyone is fine, other driver came through without major injury (thank god!) I wasn't speeding or...

Subaru 7-seater Exiga wagon, the Mazda5 owners view

My wife drives an 04 Forester 2.5X 5sp and it is a great car, for HER. I don't fit the darned thing. And it does get about 27-28 MPG with a K&N and my wifes heavy foot. We will be getting her one of the new ones in the next year or so, I think the 09 is a great looking evolution of the car...

    Another Mazda5 HID install... (pics)

The best thing about the actual headlights out of a GT would be the leveling motors and associated switchgear for the dash. That way when I make one of my famous ten thousand dollar trips to Lowes my headlights won't be signalling aircraft. As far as i know, the cut-off plate is the same in...

    Another Mazda5 HID install... (pics)

Sorry for the slow response dreamym5 to answer your question, no I do not have noticeably more glare above the cut-off with the 55w kit. I believe that my headlights are aimed a little bit lower than Jandrees are though. I truly believe that what people are reacting to, and flashing their...

    Long term cure?

I plan on installing the adjustable rear control arms in the very near future and will also go with harder bushings, although I have seen some compelling evidence against going poly on a daily driver.

    Another Mazda5 HID install... (pics)

[U[/U]Duck Tape!!! LMAO Why in the hell would you stick tape on your headlights to fix an aiming problem? Besides whenever someone high beams me I just return the favor. You thought those were the high beams? Here you go ass-wipe! I actually had someone turn their headlights OFF after I...

Mazda5 Tires: Issues & Replacement Recommendations

^^^ Oh drop it all ready, we get the point. I have a set of Nexen N3000 on mine sized 215/50 and have been very very pleased with them so far. After about 6,500 miles they are worlds quieter than the Toyos, which was my principle complaint about them. Nexen is a Korean arm of Michelin, from...

    Mazda5 Spare

Lord I hope not! I have personally driven on the dinky at 75! P.S. do NOT try this at home kids it is VERY dangerous. I really think it is to shame you into getting the tire repaired. When I was in South Carolina visiting my sister two years ago I saw a Cavalier on a dinky that had a CHROME...

    Another Mazda5 HID install... (pics)

Now you need to go for a ride on a rainy night in someone elses car, like say a stock Ford Focus so you can appreciate just how terrifying halogen bulbs really are. I thought my wifes Subaru had decent headlights before I got my HID and I won't drive hers at night any more, nothing but...
