I talked with my uncle about this last night, (39years as a Mazda parts Manager) and he told me they have had issues getting Mz5 keys programed on Mz3s to the point they just cant do it.. so hmm...

yep its ****** thats what mazda is saying, they said it was a commin issue with the 04 transmissions and if i still had a war it would cost nothing.

hmm, it also is changing gears at wrong times. IE 40kph it would go into 4th. But i limped it to Mazda. As well when the motor is cold i can goto 4th but it will not catch, at optem temp the AT light comes on and i cant use my Triptonic shifter, the light on my dash gos blank.

Would Limp mode cause it to not go into 4th?

But show it when the motor is cool? Im having issues with my 04 Mazda 3 156k on it car keeps going into Limp mode when it gets cool as well it shows its in 4th gear but it just revs when its in it. any help would be nice.. i hope i dont need a rebuilt
