    2017 CX-5: Initial Review

Hello forum friends, last week I had a short test of new cx-5 (EU spec, 2.2 175hp diesel automatic). As you may know I used to have 2013 cx-5, with all those famous problems at the time (oil lever raises, shaky side mirrors.....). So here are my first impressions: Design: The more I look at...

    New 2017 CX-5 Revealed

Coming from Europe, that's exactly what I had in mind... one more gear (overdrive) would further reduce rpm's during long and boring autobahn (highway) rides. I would also like to see "Machine grey" exclusive CX-7 color in CX-5 - current colors are same for years and quite boring tbh (aside...

    New 2017 CX-5 Revealed

Hello friends, regarding new CX-5 I have mixed feelings: LIKE New headlights/taillights - looks more aggressive Chrome/metal inserts in lower portion of the door frame - nice touch lumbar support for both driver/passenger (finally!) Memory seat function for driver, also like design of new...

    CX 5 GS Snow Handling

there suppose to be more vids to come. This one was first in series, showing capabilities of AWD torque transfer on diagonal ramp. Save new Outlander all cars went without too much hassle. Maybe Qashqai was the best (no sweat pass). However, it depends a lot on driver, tires.... Bottom line...

I think CX-3 underpins new Mazda 2 platform.... at the moment looks like only FWD version will be available. http://www.topspeed.com/cars/mazda/2014-mazda-cx-3-ar139441.html Cheers, Miki

Condensation on inside of the windshield?

air recirculation ON or OFF? It should be like in this picture: Sometimes (during rain), if I choose second option (closed air circulation) windows do get foggy/wet. So it should always be set to open air circulation (unless you have some crappy car in front of you :) ) Cheers, Miki

Torque distribution between left and right rear wheels, what is the %?

Not very reassuring test from AutoBild Allrad (AWD): http://www.autobild.de/artikel/tiguan-cx-5-yeti-grand-vitara-vergleich-3647420.html Have to say, I haven't experienced this - yet, and I did wrote an email to Mazda Austria about AWD system thermal efficiency, still didn't get any...

    CX 5 GS Snow Handling

Great handling in snow! (and this is coming from someone living in Austria :)) As said many times, CX-5 is great for all-weather drive, not for all-terrain drive - HUGE difference. Even Owner's manual clearly states CX-5 is NOT to be used for off-road drive: Anyways, here are some snow vids...

    CX-5 GT Snow Chains Question

In Austria ( and in most EU countries where required) you must have some sort of "additional traction" - either snow chains or (as I have) auto-socks. They fit various sizes as they're elastic.. and they do fulfill legal aspects. http://www.autosock.com/ BR Miki

Torque distribution between left and right rear wheels, what is the %?

Mazda has limited slip differential (LSD) in the rear axle.... Cheers, Miki

    Engine Oil Rise

I've replied to your PM mate. No, new info it's mid NOV (already is)..... Oil raise is a really annoying issue... especially if Mazda introduce in 18 months a Cx-5 redesign where this issue will be resolved miraculously (scratch) What would be current CX-5 resale value ??? With so many quirks...
