Is there anything else that has to be done to adjust the e-brake, besides using the allan key? No driving in reverse and slamming on the brakes?

Well they're $190 each, and I'm in Canada so maybe that makes a difference? Do you know if there's a how to on caliper replacements? Edit: yeah, they were REALLY seized... I'll post a pic later once I get a chance to plug my phone into the computer.

We ended up breaking the rotor after beating it w/ the hammer... so then we had to cut the rest of it off... it was that rusted on. We put the new pads in, there was a lot of resistance... and the ebrake didn't work... so i started to drive home, and then i got out of the car and the rotors...

HELP! The rotors are so rusted on I can't get them off... there is no hole in it like you said. Any suggestions or tips for getting it off?

Where do you suggest buying brakes from in Canada? I checked protege garage and they said $100 to ship here, so I thought if there was an online parts place for inside Canada that would be better. Any suggestions? Last year I only ended up replacing the pads, but now I need new pads and...

Is there a how-to to do the rotors too? Or is it fairly simple? (just take them off and put new ones on?)

I was just at the dealer the other day and they have similar things... just a clear coat.

Yeah the dealer here is actually pretty great... they aren't lying when they say #1 Mazda dealer in Canada. I took it in today to see what I needed for the safety inspection.. and they passed it... said my brakes were OK! they even washed my car for me while I was out for coffee!!!! I guess it...

dealer said $300 to do rotors and pads... and nothing special... normal cheapo brake pads and rotors... the problem w/ getting parts is that I'm in the Valley, not in Halifax... so there is a limited number of car places around here.

Well I am told that I need new rotors and pads for my 03 Protege ES to pass the Nova Scotia yearly safety inspection... any suggestions? I'm guessing the dealer will just put on stock rotors/pads unless I tell them to do otherwise... should I just get the parts from the dealer? or buy online?

I'm kinda in the same boat... What exhaust would you suggest... what about a stock MSP exhaust?
