    MS CAI to short ram?

Right, it didn't occur to me to just re-mount the fuel resistor ballast back to the stock location. That will do it, I'm sure. Hopefully I'll get to this next week when I change my oil - 14,000 miles already. Thanks! I'll post up my results when I do it.

    MS CAI to short ram?

I know someone here has done this.. Can you tell me what is involved? I did the CAI myself last year, and would be interested in changing it over to SRI, but am not going to do it if I have to have the piping cut, or anything. I'm just not sure how you'd go about doing this.. Seems to me it's...

    notchy...

Mine seems to have become more notchy over the winter - I had it garaged for most of last winter. MT-90 looks like something I should do. It seems especially noticeable during downshifts, and yes going to 3rd and pushing it. Still sometimes I hit the shift gate and then get it into 3rd; that's...

    Chico is all business

That's right.. 2007 silver MS3 with the mazdaspeed3 badge removed. Still got the flying M on the car. Looks stock, is mostly stock..

    Chico is all business

I saw you yesterday morning at Town Fair Tire. I was dropping some ill-fitting shoes off at the UPS store; I know you saw me.. I was going to say hello, but then figured you might not know who I am, or something. Your car looks great, by the way..

Why is the CP-E downpipe so expensive seeming?

Ah, so it IS a downpipe/midpipe combo. Cool.. I wonder if the CP-E downpipe & exhaust, combined with the PG turbo manifold and existing MS CAI are enough mods to require a tuning solution, which I'm trying to put off as long as I can.

    How Pampered Is Your MS3?

Mine is in the garage. Pretty well pampered, I'd say. Weekly wash when I can, Zaino about once a month, keep up with the schedule 2 maintenance. I do drive it pretty hard, though, when I've got the chance, which is enough to go through silly amounts of gas at times. You in the Northeast ought...

Cosmic Blue MS3 spotted on RT. 15 South, 11/28

It must have been about 10 AM or so. I was in my silver MS3, passed you going up the hill from New Haven into Woodbridge. I did not take off too quick, but then the road ahead opened up so I went for it. 130 this time before I had to start slowing down, nice straight section of the road. Of...

Why is the CP-E downpipe so expensive seeming?

Is it a downpipe & midpipe sold together? I would't think it overpriced if so. I am considering this downpipe & exhaust combo (and have been for a while) and will actually do something about it in the spring. So anyone who's got info or has the full CP-E exhaust, I'm asking you.. Spring seems...

    thinking of getting a MS3

Hey, Chico, would you tell me if it was Bishop at Partyka? Oh, and the silver does NOT make you invisible to cops, as I can verify. I like the red too.

What do u think about the new 2009 Mazda 6?

Perhaps the US needs bigger bumpers because no one watches the road when they are driving - it's simple if you think about it. My dad has been rear-ended 4 times in the past 2 months, and he's an excellent driver. I don't know if statistics would agree with me, but I tend to think we have some...

    Some new pics!

Silver is faster than red, sorry.. Oh, the CAI sound is lovely.. Personally, I want all the sound(s), since it is a high-performance model, as opposed to a base model (any make) with a loud exhaust slapped on it JUST for the purpose of turning heads. Go take that front plate off and hang it in...

    another recall!!

Damn right! From now on I will inspect the car's exterior, interior, and under the hood before taking it off the lot when any warranty work is performed.

    another recall!!

I just got those yesterday.. If my car throws a CEL, I'll check it myself to see what trouble code it is - I have an OBDII reader and the workshop manual, so I can get more info than just the reader tells me. That's somewhat irrelevant I guess; I hate bringing my car to the dealer. Last time it...

    Do Shoes Make a Difference?

Heh. When I drive and no one complains, I drive best. When someone else in the car has any type of comment on my technique, I focus too much and my shifts are not as smooth as otherwise.. As far as shoes go, I have some nice Converse that ought to be ideal, but my usual shoes are Garmont or...
