245/45/20 tires instead of stock size?

I fit 265/45's on the 20's with zero issues at all. The ride also isn't too firm, imo.

    2010 CX-9 Liftgate Panel Removal

Not sure if it varies from my 07, but the entire rear panel is one big piece. (Save for perhaps the very top). To remove it, I just popped around the edge.

improper install ? stainless steel rear bumper guard 0000-8T-N15

It's not a great install - but with that said I bought and installed one of these myself, and had a heck of a time with it mounting flush; I have a similar (though perhaps not quite as extreme) gap on mine.

    08 cx 9 tailgate rust

Firstly, realize that the entire hatch will eventually have rust issues. Mine was oddly not rusting (yet - but I could see the paint wearing through) where you speak of, as well as under one of the taillights and peaking through the bottom seam, and also behind the logo on the hatch. Fact is...

Symptoms of a bad transfer case

The mechanic changed the wheel bearing? Not bearingS? Which one did he change? I just changed my bearings and it was really hard to figure out which side was the culprit - so if only one was changed perhaps the other has an issue? The sound my cx9 made might have been similar to what you...

    Wheel bearing quality

Just replaced my fronts last week at 85k miles. Seems a little early, but the vehicle has been largely reliable otherwise so I'm not complaining. Luckily, my cousin is a mechanic and did it for free. For those who might be doing an internet search, damaged bearings may sound like you have...

    Shifter lights

Mine were out when I bought my 2007 CX9 used. I just replaced the bulb. I imagine the filament in the bulb might be broken, and when you tap it, it reconnects it. (temporarily). Perhaps a new bulb is all that is required. It's pretty easy to do; with the handle off the shifter (may not even...

Door Handle Assembly - Broken Smart Key Door Button

I 99% thought I submitted a post in this thread. But looking at it, I guess not. I had the button issue like the rest of you. What I did is tightly wrap a thin strip of electrical tape around the plunger portion so it was thick enough to have enough resistance not to fall out, but not so...

    Dipped Wheels

I think black on black looks alright. But for my own tastes, the silver looks far better with most vehicles.

    New HID Fog bulbs

Yeah, I added HIDs to the fogs as well. Even though I ordered 4300k color, it still is more blue (white?) than the factory HIDs. Looks nice though.

ribber touch pads on front door handles

Happened on my 07 too. Is it the entire face, or just the rubber around the face? (Which, ultimately, keeps the button on) For me, it was just the rubber around the face. I took the rubber button out, wrapped some electrical tape around the rubber that fits inside the button, and stuffed it...

CX9 All Wheel Drive System...Is It Worth It?

Living in Calgary, Alberta, Canada - we get more garbage winter weather than most of you guys in the USA have to contend with. And let me tell you - if it wasn't for the AWD, I would not have even considered the CX9. This isn't to say you can't drive around with just FWD... especially in areas...

Can the "metal" lookalike silver plastic trim on the door be replaced ?

Yes and yes. Look further down in the Accessories and Appearance area and you'll see a lot of info from me in there. My best advice it to ensure you get the 3M stuff - it is FAR superior to cheap vinyls in every way.

    Transfer Case - 4WD Issues

I had read before that the TC was mainly a 2007 issue prior to a certain build date. I happened to have an early model that was affected, but luckily my TC is so far perfectly fine with 120kms (70000 miles) on it. But really, it seems like all the TC's have potential issues.

Can the "metal" lookalike silver plastic trim on the door be replaced ?

That's right. The fronts (though firm) have clips to hold it on, but the rears are screwed from the inside. I covered my front ones with brushed aluminum 3m vinyl and they look great. Haven't touched the rear ones, but I never see them so I don't really care.
