My local Ford dealer has it for $22 @ quart. The odometer just hit 40K after five years so I'll start saving money now for the next five year interval.
The James Barone Racing short shift kit plate and Sure RMM really made the 1-2 shift like budda' especially above 60' fahrenheit or when warmed up.
+1 Benior.
Dealer replaced rear shocks at 12K because of sweating (their terminology). They showed signs of sweating again at 26K and ordered/installed Koni FSDs. The ride quality is sweet and feel that the car should have come with a quality set of dampers like the Konis from the factory.
I have Pirelli P Zero Nero Ultra High Performance All Season tires on my list for the next set I purchase. I have the Hankook Ventus V12s now.
Tire Rack has them on sale.
FSD 4040s
I have the 4040s too. The 4045s which are the revised dampers from Koni that are 20% stiffer in rebound were on back order too long for me. I had a slight 1/2" rise in the front suspension after installation with the 4040s along with the FatCat bump stops. After 5,000 miles the...
Coilover & Strut/Damper Research
I've referenced an excellent in depth suspension thread, authored by Freeflyfreak on another forum. PM me for a link as I don't want to upset any admins on this site.
Koni
I would recomend the FSD 4040 or 4045s. These were originally designed for the Volvo chasis platform. The 4040s were considered specific to the Mazda 5 and the 4045s are now considered specific to the MS3, (20% stiffer in rebound).
I currently have the 4040s as the back order on the...
Dampers
I have the Koni FSD 4040s. The upgrade for our cars is FSD 4045s. The difference between the two is the latter is 20% stiffer in rebound. The 4045s have been on back order for quite awhile. I paid $550 for my FSDs about a year ago when they were on sale.
They should have come on...
18 x 10.5s
You need to trade-in your MS3 for a truck. Flared fender wells and suspension mods to run those wheels and tires will cost alot of money if you plan on driving it on a regular basis.
I know we all have a vision for the potential and look of our cars but perhps searching concept...
Eibach & FSDs
This is good news! Now I'll be shopping for Eibach springs. I wonder if its because Eibach typically has a mild, (usually @ an inch), conservative drop than most companies?
Shocks
I've had the Koni 4040s on my car for about nine months now. I could'nt wait for the 4045s on back order. They ride so much smoother than the OEMs, (two blew out at 25K). This is the way the car should have come from the dealer.
Please note the following information: if you have...
