It took a minute to feel comfortable with the adjustments, and this tool is extremely janky and loose, but it did the job.

Like all the videos say, use PLENTY of heat and small adjustments, expect to take at least 30 minutes per fender.

No cracked paint or ripples for me, I’m happy with it, and after taking her out for a spin there is no more rubbing. 😎

Went to the salvage yard today and got a fog light to replace the one which has had a hole in it for ten years. Better late than never, eh? Picked up an extra master power window switch since I'd had one go bad in the past. I went spelunking in several Mazdas for a roadside jack, but they usually pull those out of the cars so that people don't use them and crush themselves under vehicles while on the lot, I guess. They had what looked to be a similar Nissan-branded jack on a shelf at the register and I bought that. Luckily, one of the cars I looked in still had both the jack handle and T-bolt used to store/secure the jack while in the vehicle.

I signed up with row52.com to be alerted when there's a new Protege or Protege5 on the lot. Surprisingly, there were no Protege sedans on the lot and three Protege5 hatches.

Looking at my receipt, the fog light was $17, the jack was $8, and the master window switch was $21. On car-part.com, US prices vary wildly for fog lights: Varies from $27 to $85 (shipping is probably extra).

Side note: Looks like car-part.com currently has an MP3 ECU listed if anyone is interested in using premium fuel in their car. :D Price is not listed, but on that site they are typically around $100 + shipping:

Side, side note: Been watching Megabattie out of AUS on YouTube and one of the perks (outside of all the cool bats) is seeing Mazdas everywhere.

So funny, I ran with a cracked fog light for 6 years before replacing it.

When it cracked again, I settled for aftermarket lights and they’ve been fine. They don’t quite fit and needed some modifications but they work and look semi decent from afar.

i went with the msp lip and fog deletes......but have the adapters to run fogs with the lip. my brights are yellow so they work for fogs if need be.......

Bought this little spoiler lip for the P5. I've seen it on a few P5s and I think it looks cool. Have yet to receive and install, but thought I'd post the link since the site is having a sale until the 30th and I was able to get the lip for about $115 shipped which is decent I think.

Good looking. perfect price point entry to get one.

@Blue Pro5 Are those the rare OG polished DaveB rings?! If so, nice score! IMO they are the best visual mod for the interior.

I've got a set sitting in a box. Have been debating whether to install them or not. I feel like they don't match the rest of the interior but maybe I'll give them a shot having seen your picture.

Yessir. Found an old listing here and reached out, luckily the seller still had them.

Thinking about grabbing new gauge cluster bulbs before getting into it and installing these.
Let me know what you try for bulbs. I tried some cheap LEDs in the past and they had very uneven light distribution and would flicker intermittently. Right now I have a set of LEDs on the right and left sides and some halogens in the middle so it's a variety of different brightness and shades of red/orange across the cluster. Would be nice to have it be brighter and uniformly lit.
