Hey guys, I picked up a turbo kit for my p5 off of one of the members on this site, and I've finally found some time this weekend to give everything a good clean and prep before mocking it up to an engine. My question for you turbo guys is how would you go about cleaning everything? specifically the turbo?
As for the manifold and s/j pipes I was looking into sandblasting them while keeping the mounting side or gasket side covered to prevent any pitting or uneven surfaces on the machined surfaces.*
As for the turbo I was also thinking about blasting it but taking the CHRA out, so I just have the housings to blast.*
Any thoughts? Also since these turbos aren't rebuildable what would you suggest in taking the carbon/dirt/ect off the CHRA unit while I have it out?*
