Yeah I have a spare Pioneer design for Ford-Mazda`s however in the mazda3 i needed like half inch of spacer to get it to clear the window. I dont want to go through the hassle of removing the door panel and speaker only to find out this one wont fit either.
As for the ticking, I hope it isn`t oil related. I change it frequently and use synthetic oil. It isnt driven hard either considering what it is you know. I just remember reading somewhere that the 2.5L MZR motors are notorious for ticking and it would be a bit of a load off my mind if that was confirmed. Unfortunately, no one on these boards are interested in tributes lol
