My 2002 mazda has an issue with temp gauge. When I let it warm up before driving it will go to the normal halfway level, as I start driving it drops to bout 1/3rd up from cold. If I go downhill it will drop right down to cold. Heater still works fine but there is a strange noise coming from left hand side off motor, kind of a rattling/grinding noise.
Any ideas?
While I'm on here does anyone know what a grinding noise mean when car is cold? When I push clutch in it goes away? Had gearbox all checked and supposedly fine. Mechanic replaced rear engine mount thinking it was that but noise still there. I am going to replace other 2 as car has done over 200ks.
Any help would be great.
