The ongoing saga

Okay, so I replaced the valve stem seals, and that has taken care of the smoke at startup. I finally tracked down the oil leak to a bad camshaft seal, and that is fixed as well, but now I have yet another issue; I get smoke when I accelerate, particularly when in boost, and I am only boosting up to 5, which bleeds down to 2 instead of maintaining. I was running 9 before. How do I test my turbo? is a rebuild possible? The loss of boost could actually be a boost leak, there's a spot on the intercooler flex hose that appears damaged. The oil on acceleration is what concerns me the most. I want to sell the car, but that is going to negatively affect my resale value.

Unless it's a lot of smoke most people won't notice. But yes most likely the turbo is leaking some oil in boost. A boost leak in the piping/BOV or a failing wastegate can cause the boost to drop off like that. You can check the hot pipe for oil, if it is dry the turbo should be fine.
