Subframe Questions!!

When trying to install new control arms on my 02 protege i noticed the threads of my subframe were stripped(toilet) and tried a helicoil and all that goodness, but I have come to a point where I must replace my subframe. Does the Manual and Automatic 02 protege have the same subframe?? If so can I just swap the subframe from my blown automatic one and put it into my manual daily driver. I have already swapped in a new tranny(yippy) so doing this job won't be too hard for me, but if anyone has done it before advice would be highly appreciated! Having trouble getting the 17mm nut off the super long bolt on either side of the frame... Also since i'm going to completely swap out the subframe what other upgrades should i knock out while im here? what's a great aftermarket steering wrack, etc.?
