RX8 Wheel Upgrade

I have a Base 04 RX8 and want to upgrade from 16 to the 18inch wheels. I talked to a dealer here -when my engine was replaced for the 2nd time and he said no problem with going to 18in wheels.

Does anyone know if this is the case or do i need to upgrade rotors and brake stuff? Can i use the tpms from the original wheels on the 18's? What are the pros and cons of doing this upgrade if any?

As long as you stick with the same overall circumference (or within about 2%) you dont have to make any adjustments to anything. I use the tire calculator at 1010tires.com (http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp) to figure out how to change up your wheel size dimensions. TPMS should be the same for every wheel.

Plug and play, just buy the stock RX8 tire size....225/45/18. Other owners might be able to chime in on another size that will not throw the speedometer off too much, like a 245/40/18.
