Remote Start

I am thinking of buying a 2014 Mazda 3s GT - 4 Door.

Can someone tell me if I get the factory remote start, does it require me to use 2 key fobs? I tried a search here and read about this being the case on the CX-5 but can find no info on the 3.

Any help on this, or any other info on the remote start would be helpful. If you have an aftermarket remote start I would be interested in learning how that was setup and if it works well. (i.e. does it require mounting one of the factory fobs somewhere in the car?)

Yes, you would require two key fobs.

yea I was doing some research on this yesterday, it has to be 2 key fobs if you want the OEM one

Can I ask a different remote start question? Wasn't sure if I should start a new thread or not but my husband just bought a 2014 Mazda 3 few weeks later I got a Mazda 2 and had a Viper remote start with smart start put in my car. Now like my old escort I sold I can have my heat cranked up on high start my car in the winter and have high heat when I get in the car it's running with my heat or air on whatever I left it on when I shut off the car. Not sure how my husbands 3 works but he says it has digital control knobs and I know it's different than mine. If his heat is turned up to a certain temperature and he remote starts the car will it start with the heat on at that same temperature? The place who put in my remote start wasn't sure how it would work on the Mazda 3 for starting he had no info on it since the 3 has the auto start with the key fob in your pocket. But with the smart start you do it all from your phone and don't need an extra keyfob. All I got was an extra little starter only thing in case I don't want to use and activate the smart start.
