I thought it'd be fun for people to post a log of the work they've had to get done to their MS3 since they owned it. It'll help people get an idea of what ownership of one of these cars is like, and help people find other people who have had to do similar repairs. Please don't include things like oil changes, tire replacements, etc.
Mazdaspeed 3
Purchased: January 2012
Mileage:52000
Year:2007
Repairs:
Mileage: 70,000
Repair: Blown pressure plate and slave cylinder (Go with an OEM slave cylinder, unless you want your clutch to be even more on-off feeling, as mine is now)
Cost:~$1600 parts and labor (Mazda for pressure plate, mom and pop shop for slave cylinder and line bleeding, also replaced clutch while replacing pressure plate)
Also replaced all four plugs with OEM (Mazdaspeed 3's are a little finicky with plugs I've found. They don't like bad auto-zone plugs)
Mileage: 73,000
Repair: Blown rear passenger shock
Cost: ~$150 (OEM shock, put on by a friend)
Mileage: 89,000
Repair: Blown front drivers side shock
Cost: ~$400 parts (Two Koni Yellow shocks) ~$100 Repair labor (a friend)\
Anyway, thats about it for me so far with my MS3. I've also added a few bolt-ons, but those don't really count as repairs. I though others could keep a log of their repairs in the hope of helping out other MS3 owners.
