Opinion: fabric vs leatherette

I have an iTouring with the technology package on order but no arrival date. Within a reasonable distance, a dealer has 2 liquid silver metallic iGrand Touring with manuals. The big differences between the iTouring and the iGrand Touring are the change from fabric to leatherette and the addition of seat heaters. While I would really like the seat heaters, I am not so sure about the leatherette.

For the owners of the fabric and leatherette interiors, what is your opinion of the general comfort, hot weather comfort and durability?

I think it is funny that Mazda resurrected the leatherette name that VW used for their vinyl interiors in the 60s and 70s.

I have had my iGT for almost a year now and I like the leatherette seats. They are easy to clean and comfortable. I have had no issue with them getting too hot in the summer but they do get hot compared to fabric.
