Hi all, my name is Wes I recently joined the board. I picked up a 2003 MP5 a few months ago, I also own a 2005 Mazda3 SP23. The MP5 was bought as a second car but I soon found that the sports shift trans was not functioning properly, the car will go in and out of gear fine and shift from 1st to 2nd but when it gets to 3rd there is no drive. This happens in auto or manual mode, there is no codes or leaks, fluid level is fine. Anyone ever had this problem? Do I need a new trans? If so where would be the best place to get one? Price?
I've been away from home since buying the car so I have not had time to take it to a repair shop, it's just been sitting in the garage. This is my first auto car, should have gotten a manual but my wife hates driving them.
