New Owner/Member with a bluetooth question!

Mazda3 iSport 5-door Hatchback
Hi all! I'm a new owner of a 2016 Mazda3 iSport 5-door hatchback (my first brand new car)! After months of research & test drives, I decided that the Mazda3 5-door was the perfect combination of sportiness, cargo flexibility, and fuel efficiency. Love the car!

It's been about a week now with no complaints. However, this morning my Bluetooth started acting up, it says its connected to my iPhone 6 (iOS 9.0.2) but the audio doesn't play when I select it. Any ideas? It was just working fine yesterday, hopefully this is just a small hiccup/easy fix. I've never had a car with bluetooth before, so i'm not keen on the tips/tricks with it.

Thanks for the help!

What is the OS version of MFD?
If it is not v55, you should get it updated next time you bring it in.

Recently, mine ('14) was updated to v55. (v25 -> v29 -> v55)
It is said (according to my service adviser) to be the "must-have" version.
It works fine so far.

Previously, the OS could act up from one start-up to another.
As you said, problem disappears the next time.
Even my Mazda6 ('16)'s v51 has some glitches once in a while.

It could also be the iPhone. I was testing for Apple beta iOS and 9 to 9.2 each version was different especially with Bluetooth connect on my '16 Mazda 6.
