Is this the mazdaspeed piece with the reinforced sway bar mounting locations? Or just regular protege

According to the MazdaMotorsports web site this is the part number for the MSP. I'll update the thread title.

Regular Protege part number: B30D-28-800A
MSP part number: BN7H-28-800A

So is the msp rear crossmember required for the racing beat sway bar? I've heard both sides of this

Not required, but Mazda made it beefier for a reason and if you're doing a true MSP suspension swap, this is a part of it.
You can see the reinforcements in the 1st and 3d pics.

Oh yeah, I guess you can see the small extra strip of metal by the sway bar mounts.
