So my door latch stopped working on my 2000 Protege. It would not unlock the door or open the door from the outside. SO i bought a new latch from the Mazda Dealer as a OEM part. It was $128, but I needed it to get into the car so I replaced it. It was a lot easier that I thought it would be. Here is a video of how I did it to help anyone else that needs it.
