Looking for a 2014 CX-5 Hood Strut Kit

i want to install a hood strut kit on my 2014 cx-5. I've seen ones that mount to the shock towers, but I'd rather have ones that mount to the fender, i found these ones from sokietech on ebay. has anyone bought these, are they worth it?

The ones I installed almost 10 years back mount a little further forward and still work great

Anyone have aftermarket struts for hood?

Call me lazy but I have grown use to struts on all of my vehicles for the hood so ordered some of these. Anyone else have these?

That won't work on the first gen.

Cool for sure, but for $70 I'll just keep using the prop rod.
