iPhone 13 connected to CarPlay mutes incoming calls

When I have my iPhone 13 connected to CarPlay and get a call while listening to other media the call automatically goes to mute and I have to scramble to unmute before they hang up. It frustrating. Curious if the issue is with the car or my phone?

It's most likely an IPhone setting that you're not aware of. Check your Focus settings in your iPhone.
