Before starting, YES I HAVE CHECK EVERY POST ABOUT MY QUESTION IN A SEARCH!

So, how do I remove the nut under the Number 4 intake runner (the one near the EGR valve and throttle body?). I've tried every socket/wrench that I have (12mm I know) and can't reach or have enough motion to loosen it.

Thanx!

PS: My fuel rail is removed to give me more space.

I used a box-end wrench... it was a PITA, but it got the job done.

Exactcly what i've done!

BTW, can I remove only THE UPPER manifold? I have tried but the lower manifold studs and the head studs are placed in a way it can't be removed that way... Maybe i'm missing something?

did you try getting at the bolts for the lower and the upper by going under the car?

Nope and where the car is I can't raise it to work under... I guess I will have to reach them by the side and go with a little force...

You have to remove both halves ofthe manifold, or it won't work. The bottom part is bolted onto a support bracket by the oil filter. To get the bolts you mentioned in your original post, I jsut used a 12mm socket with a 12" extension, came out no problem.
