i must be having some bad luck these couple of weeks and i need feedback from you guys

first alignment was off, cracked windshield, steering vibration, and now I'm hearing some engine noise.

Not sure what it is, its coming from the right side of the engine where the belts are, i thought it was knocking or something but the mechanic said its probably a worn "bearing" on one of the pulleys or a spring tensioner. The noise isn't very loud, you have to put your ear a bit closer and the phone

Could you guys help me out here? I uploaded 3 videos on YouTube, the noise is a bit louder when it is cold. Sometimes i can't hear it and sometimes i can. When accelerating and noise does not get louder. As far as i could tell the car doesn't feel any different driving either

First video with cold start up

Second video after sitting for about an hour or so

Third video

What should i do at this point? This is depressing

Sounds like its coming from the alternator or water pump area, water pumps can get noises before they fail

It's not an engine knock though right? Just want to be sure before I dump more money into it. What are symptoms of an old water pump?

Eventually itl start leaking and you'll overheat, does it get louder in higher rpms?

Doesn't seem to get any louder with higher rpm

Does the water pump start spinning and working as soon as the car turns on? The noise is just to generic so I'm having a hard time determining where the noise is coming from... Pretty frustrating

It is a bearing 'in distress'...

Which one?

If you *carefully* put a socket extension to your ear and listen at the alt, p/s pump, etc... it will suddenly be real loud in your ear.

If none of the above are the culprit - it may be the timing belt tensioner.

Listen also for if the whine/noise is high speed=rpms or is 'low speed=some fraction of the rpms'

If it is a one/rev bearing - it is engine (crank?) or accessory. Less than one/rev points to valve train/head cam bearing perhaps?

Does not sound like a big issue yet - keep an 'ear' out for when it gets worse. (it won't get better :( )
