I'm considering selling the race car... or parting it out.
I've found the deal of a lifetime for a 1993 Supra TT (thumb)that I plan to clean up and resell.
I'm just in desperate need of cash at the moment.

I'm not selling any particular parts at the moment, just wondering if anyone is interested in the whole car locally.

If you're interested in one part of the car (ie. complete turbo kit), feel free to post something.
I'll print out a parts list later on and keep your name on it.
Again, nothing is for sale at the moment.

For $5k, you can have:
(Just the mechanical guts are worth $7k easy. I've put at least twice that into it over the years.)

And this is how I picked it up a year ago: (boom01)

It would make a nice hill-climber or E-Mod car or one hell of a weekend toy if you can convince a LEO that it's street legal. =)
It will only take an additional $1500 + wheels/tires to get running.
(Needed: wiring harness for MS, lexan windows, brake/clutch master cylinders, rear brakes, fuel pump + lines)

Runs great, I have 100% of the paperwork from the day it was sold. (brown) Interior is so-so.
I can convert it to the mazdaspeed interior for a lil extra. Would make a great reliable DD.

$500 - '89 Nissan 240sx 5-speed 300k
[Interior: 4/10 Exterior: 3/10 Drivetrain: 1/10]
Engine blew a head gasket. I was planning on making this my 300whp $2008 GRM race car but never had the time to work on it. Would work great as a race car, parts car for auto--> manual conversion. The crackless dash is worth about the same as the car itself.
I'll drop the price by $100 if you bring your own wheels.
(I have good tires on the car now, lol)

$550 - '03 MSP Trans w/ 50k
Never opened. I kept this one as a spare. Previous owner stated that it was fine when the guy he bought it from removed it.
I can TIG weld the LSD + rebuild it for a lil bit extra. I can also install new synchros and bearings (although not required) or cryotreat the gears and shift forks.
SOLD!

$450 - Specialized Allez Sport road bike
(56cm)
[click for full specs]
6061 aluminum frame, carbon front fork + seat post, Shimano 105/Tiagra gearset, NEW Hutchinson Carbon Comp tires ($80)
_____

I will trade anything mentioned in this thread for a professional Canon DSLR
(5D or better)or GOOD condition Miata/rx7/325i/240sx/mr2 (must be RWD + less than 160k miles
or Honda 600RR (good condition, never dropped)

hey, I have some questions on that MSP tranny.

I have a p5, needing a new wheelbearing/hub, maybe cv's...

what else woud I be needing to get that in my car? If possibe, I'd like to have you or someone else look at my car to determine exactly whats wrong, and where to go from there.

or...how much work does that 240 need?

I simply need to get back on the road so I can keep working and paying for my p5 =[

I'd have to rebuild the trans to install a pink speedo gear on the differential to make your speedometer work.
+$72.59 (+ shipping from OnlineMazdaParts.com) for (1) speedo gear, (2) new locking nuts, and (1) new LSD bearing.
(The Mazdaspeed Protege ECU reads it's speed from the ABS system instead of the speedo gear)

As for the 240sx, it only needs an engine swap to be drivable ($50 if you just want another single cam).
I was planning on tossing in a boosted KA24DE which would make 260whp easy on a stock block. Can't beat it for $1000.
If you're looking for a cheap project car to learn how to swap an engine, and do paint + body work on, this is it.
(There's a large 'tokyo drift' dent on the driver's side)
I'll go ahead and include the spare shaved hatch for free.

man, thats funny.

I don't have the means to replace that at my house, would it be possible to maybe put a deposit on that car, and we work on it together for beer or something? I could pay it upfront too, but cant do anything with it til that engine was in there

I'd be willing to accept payments on the 240sx but I don't have enough spare time to offer with the swap.
(If I did, it would've been making 300whp a long time ago :D)
