So this is going to be a thread of my protege5. I am currently deployed, but will be back in the states in about a month. The car is in rough shape but me and my wife have been looking for a project and have always loved the pro5. Besides the body the car needs an engine rebuild cause it has no compression. This will be my first experience with Mazda but I can't wait to tear it apart. My ideas include a full engine bay shave and wire tuck, suspension, exhaust, New wheels, and body work just to start. Like I said I'm new to this car and this forum sui any advice will be greatly appreciated. Please no negative comments on rebuilding since I already know what I'm getting into. Future plans include a forced induction and manual trans swap.... I have been reading about everyone badges on the trans swap, but again this is a project and I'm going all out. I will post more pics on progress once I get back home and can start working on it. Thanks in advance to everyone for your support and advice in this build.
