Enable navigation unit while moving

Hi,

I just bought a MY10 CX-9 GT and was wondering if there is any DIY modifications I can do to enable to the Navigation unit while the car is in motion? I have just come from a Subaru Liberty (Legacy), and I was able to do this sort of modification on its Sat Nav unit by grounding the ebrake wire such that the unit thought it was stationary. Is there any modification similar to this that can be done to the CX-9 head unit?

Also is there any way to display the current speed on the sat nav?

Yes. Hack the VSS wire in the back of MAVI unit.

Cool, so I assume you just install a switch on the VSS wire which can be toggled to allow input into the NAVI unit while in motion?

Do you have any pictures or wiring diagrams to assist in figuring out which wire from the back of the NAVI unit is the VSS wire?
