Does anyone have any experience using a BlueDriver Bluetooth OBDII Scan Tool on their CX-5? I was considering buying one and wanted to see if anyone here has use it.

Go to their site, scroll down a bit, and enter the info on your car to see what data is available and what it can do.

I don't have experience with Bluedriver but I'm sure Bluedriver is a quality product, but it's kind of $$$$ just for an OBDII reader,
NOTE: if you leave the Bluedriver plugged in, it will continue to stay powered and draw your battery even after you turn off the engine, make sure you unplug it if you go away on vacation.

I bought this $10.99 Hikeren that does the same thing with no issues, plus it has an ON/OFF switch so there's no chance of battery drain.

I use the Hikeren with free app called "Torque" it worked flawlessly with my CX-5. When I first got my Cx-5 the oxygen sensor was not set

I use the blue driver and it's more expensive than other, but well worth it.. After I purchased the Bule Driver it solved an issue I was having with me BMW that I was able to fix myself saving me a lot of money. (Paid for it self first time I used it..). I did write an review about it after my use and got a second unit from 'Lamar' the mfg of the blue driver I have two units as I bata tested their newest dongle and software.. I feel it is so much better then the other on the market.. it does more then just read the codes. It will give you live readings and gauges of current sensors while your driving. If you have it plugged in while driving and fell a surge from the engine, you look at blue driver app on your phone or iPad, and you can see instantly what just happened.

Look on you tube for video of it in action. An older video from 'chrisfix' iTunes site is where I first saw it..

I'd really like to have a engine temp gauge. Does BlueDriver give you that? How about the trans temp?

Yes, yes it does have the engine temp, there are so many items you can monitor as long as the vehicle has a sensor your see it..

Transmission temp seems to be an elusive parameter as apparently proprietary Mazda code to get to that one. I've not found any OBD programs yet that can see the transmission temp. Pretty much all that read sensors can see engine temp though.

I think it was previously mentioned Scangauge might be able to do it though.

It does appear as if the Scangauge 2 can give trans temp by using the X-Gauge feature. Can anyone confirm this?
