B Blake D Member : 2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege Jan 30, 2015 #2 holding more oil is is one thing. but when you corner hard there is less likely for the pickup to run out of oil and starve the motor of oil. because there is more oil in the pan and the pan itself is deeper and baffled.
