sorry it took me so long, i had to go out of town for work....again.

anyhow i looked into it and it is the switch box

the sylfex auxmod would work on the cx-7 with bose as it works on the ms6 with bose. you either need a tape or media button.

No sorry it won't.

It plugs into a port under HU. I took my HU out and the slot is covered by metalic tape. I removed the tape and nothing was there except a place where it appears are soldering locations.
