Anything I should do while I have the intake manifold out?

Hi all,

I have been dealing with the VICS screw issues and was wondering if there was anything I should do while the intake was out.

Some things I am doing/considered:

- Clean intake manifold, EGR, TB

- Remove VTCS (I do not want to port, I prefer low end power)

- Check accessory belt tension?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

On a side note, where would I be able to find the Yellow (HZ) paint in Canada?

No matter if it is worn, bad, or even ok. Change it while you have access to it.

Certain NAPA locations can mix up a spray bomb for you, call ahead to find out which stores offer this service also a place called Paint Circuit in North York can make one as well....If you have the opportunity to, I'd swap out the FSDE manifold for a FSZE one...

Yes I was thinking red or yellow.

I have the intake polished and its looking shiny!

Im thinking Yellow intake, red valve cover.

You may be able to get the paint at Paint Circuit. I had them make a couple 22a (mica blue) rattle cans for me for about $26 a can. The store I went to was at McNicoll and Victoria Park in Scarborough.
