5-speed notchy, rough shifting?

This car is pretty tricky to drive well, the clutch is rather unforgiving. It took me a long time to learn how to make smooth 1-2 shifts.

The shifting action has always been smooth in our shop B-Spec 2. It did get better when we switched to a synthetic gear oil as well.

I would take it to the dealer and also test drive e another mazda2 on the lot to compare.

Where are you located?

I can make it feel like you describe... Because of the sloppy mounts, you need to time it right for faster or smoother shifts.
