2023 CX-5 Turbo Gas mileage

Purchased a 2023 cx5 signature turbo- great car, if Mazda would only add one more speed to the transmission for highway driving the gas mileage could go from under 30mpg to high 30s,

Also should have said 2200 RPMs at 75MPH seems like stress on the engine.

I agree we do need an extra gear or two, and that should easily put the CX five into the low 30s for the turbo version. Also increase the shift speed by a little. But the problem is that Mazda uses this older/proven transmission that’s been around for a while and known to be good and last a long time, and like the saying goes why mess with something when it works.
