2012 Silverstone Challenge

Went to the Silverstone Challenge last week, it was a blast. A bit expensive (about $1200) but well worth the money.

I was able to talk to the guys at the GT Academy (that Grand Toursimo hosts) Got to snap some pics of the Nissan LMP1 and GT3 GTR and 370z.

One of the guys on the other team had crashed.

Ferrari And Renault

The Renault had to be my second favorite car over the Ford Single Seater. I was able to keep up and pass on the corners with this beast. Passing Ferraris and GTRs. It was a blast.

Yea the rally part was a blast, the Ford Fiesta was a Bspec rally car. Even the helmet had a comm system so the instructor could read out the course.

It was a bit hard, the GTR was the only left hand drive. I was always a bit far out of the apex on the left hand turns. lol Other than that It wasnt too bad. Just driving the Renault Megan was the only shift, clutch gear box. All the other ones were paddle shift.

That looks absolutely amazing. My insane amounts of jealousy cannot be described. Maybe it's just me but $1200 for what appears to be a fair amount of track time (and rally time) plus they provide all the vehicles seems like a pretty good deal to me.
