I have an 2009 CX9. 3.7litre. I now have 3600 miles on it. I want to do my own oil change. How many quarts of 5w20 do I use. And do I use synthetic oil. Don't know what is in car. And is there a oil reset.

5.5 quarts of 5W-20 with a change of the filter. If you are going to the trouble of changing it yourself use synthetic. No oil reset on that year.

You can score OEM oil filters for $6 each when you buy a 6 pack on eBay. At that price, there's no excuse to use aftermarket.
As far as oil goes, I hate to say it, but Walmart generally has the best prices. I did luck up and find a sale at O'reilly's the other on a 5 quart jug of Pennzoil Platinum for $21 the other day. I bought a couple!
