2002 Protege5 Lots of Maintenance Done!
Hate to let her go, but it is time. Just bought a new CX-5. The Protege 5 has been good to me, and want her to go to a good home. Hopefully she has years left in her! The car is currently at 156k.
I have done the following to the car in the 2 years I've owned it:
Timing belt (including pulleys, water pump, drive belts).
Tires (Continental DWS)
Shocks (tokico blues!)
Brake Pads
Transmission fluid
Brake Fluid
Coolant and Thermostat
Car also come with new tire rod ends and lower ball joints which I never got around to installing.
Oxygen sensor
I've done just about everything I could think of or the car needed, and still runs great. A/C blows cold as well.
The biggest cons I can think of is the car cosmetically isn't stellar. The paint is a little rough, but not awful by any means. The engine has also burned a bit of oil since I bought it (no smoke). I have just made sure to top her off every so often, and she keeps running great.
