2.3L long block compatibility?

Hey guys, hoping u can help me out. I have 2005 Mazda3 with a 2.3L and I have a donor 2.3L from a 2007. I know they are different but I’m hoping the long block is the same? Can I just switch the cylinder head and everything else onto it and reuse it?
