What's your average speed?

It reads about that. Idling at a stop is what makes it always low.

I have yet to figure out why anyone would care about this! (and it's been almost 5 years now!)

I have no idea. LOL

And yet you started the thread. LOL

I reset at every fill up, but I've kept track of the my readings in the notes section on Fuelly. Average over 25K miles is 43 (lowest was 31, highest was 65). By itself, average speed doesn't mean much. You could drive for 2 hours at 43 mph or drive for an hour averaging 76 mph and an hour averaging 10 mph and average the same 43. I bet the mpg figures would vary quite a bit between the two.

My mileage can range anywhere from 15-80 MPH. I generally link it in my fuelly reports. I think the EPA considers city to be 21 and highway to be 48. My best mileage has been obtained when I am around 50-60 MPH.

Right. I don't know why someone would really want to have that information. But I noticed that mine is always the same and was curious if others had the same experience.

I can't figure out what to do with that information. What does knowing the avg speed do to help me?
