No.
All vehicles built or sold there comply but not here.
That doesn't mean we won't get vehicles that are built in EU and sold here that comply with those regulations.
We should raise the stakes even higher.

For someone looking to raise the stakes you're oddly void of suggestion..
I almost threw in the towel when it finally hit me..raise the mf steaks!!

Better? I think I pretty much nailed this.
Full disclosure- I've never tried them personally but a few meat enthusiasts(not execs) at the office are big fans and order them frequently..so apparently yes they're that fn good..
I like where you're going there but on top of there still being way too many unknowns (pricing, fe, how good this new Toyota will be dynamically) I've got to decide what's replacing the fun car soon with my x1 lease end approaching and wifey really wants the new Ascent- which I was pretty impressed by also.. Probably hold her off till around this time next year or so but that's a check I can't really cash..If steaks don't work logistically for you tell me what does I'm ok with your lowered jv $50 cap--just not with $..
One more stipulation...the hybrid must the one shown @NYAIS which was the "sporty" XSE version- the only hybrid trim I'd have any interest in.
Right on queue..posted today fun car contestant #1:

I myself am having a struggle looking at how good some of the new S line from Audi are as well as some of the AMG stuff from Mercedes. I hope I can hold out but damn it would be nice to own a fun car with some balls again.
Sell a kidney and you will have enough for one! (wink)
I'm also looking at certified 14/15 X135is w/msport because i do like it would buy mine but my residual is about 5k too high they said they'd bring it down 1k so we're not close. I say gfl trying to flip a rwd x1 with staggered summer tires on it in Nov in ny!!
It was just a jokeI dont need to sell a kidney, I just need to be okay with spending another $3-400/mo , and I'd rather spend it on other stuff. Just found a trainer I wanted to hire and that dings me for $200/mo. Rather that than a different vehicle for now.
It was just a joke
Yeah, I'm upside down in my cx5 too. The smart thing is just to keep the damn thing until it rots. Heart vs. Brain.
^^That's the reason I'm keeping my gen1- not upside down but because its always smart to buy and hold when it comes to vehicles and its still enjoyable enough to daily drive plus I need a "snow car"..
Its also the reason I **may** actually run 2 CX5s for a bit- one gas, one diesel because I **think** it will please the heart and the brain- likely more the latter but pamper that one for a few years until it slides into the snow car role..
I think its mainly so I can misfuel the diesel one day and really get pissed at myself! Miata doesn't really work for me (yet) but I think I actually prefer driving the BRzed but again limited to mostly local driving/commuting, back seat- well its technically there which is a+ but even my 7 year old wasn't too happy in the back sitting behind my 5'3" wife...so idk if I can find that perfect lightly used X1 it fills that want/need scenario pretty good for right now..like this one but w/Msport for the stiffer suspension and awesome steering wheel(hate the newer M steering wheels):
