S snafu1 : Mazda Protege5 Jan 22, 2017 #1 I have a 2003 P5 and the rear wiper motor makes a weird noise, like grinding in away. It works fine but I am wondering if this is normal for this car? Should I replace the motor, or is there a way to lube it? Let me know please, Thanks!

P pcb The Diagram Dude : 2002 MP5 Jan 22, 2017 #2 My rear wiper seized right up and stalled halfway up the window. I removed the wiper arm and sprayed the shaft with pb blaster then caked it with grease. The shaft coming through the glass is at a crappy angle and any water that gets on it tends to run down the shaft towards the motor and rust. I could have taken the rear door apart to remove the motor and scrape the rust of the shaft but I didn't need/want to get that involved.
